Review Sections
Each review consists of two sections, a summary and an opinion.
The summary section is a fairly detailed, annotated table of contents.
Statements are either direct quotes from the book or directly express
the author's views as stated in the book.
The Summary should give you a good idea what the book is about
and help you decide if you want to buy it.
The opinion section is where I spout off on my own views and reactions
to the book, contents, author, style or whatever else strikes me as
comment-worthy. All opinions are mine and not the author's.
Hopefully, you will find here contextual comments and
cross-references sufficient to allow pursuing a broad topic across
various authors and presentations. My goal is not so much to display
the books as it is to open a pathway to an in-depth study of the subject matter.
On the other hand, I have obviously not made any attempt to restate more
than a tiny fraction of the content of any book. The tome itself remains
the primary source of any content referred to here.
